The 7W Ranch is located approximately 21 miles West of Uvalde, TX, and 18 miles East of Brackettville, TX.

Question 2

What is included when I hunt at Anacacho Hunting?

We will provide meals, lodging, stand and bait preparation, transportation to and from hunting areas, expert advice, and post-hunt game care.

Is Anacacho Hunting family friendly?

Yes!  We are a family-run operation that strives to make the Anacacho experience enjoyable for all.

Question 4

May I bring a non-hunting guest?

Accepted Answer

Yes.  However, there will be a $200 charge for each non-hunting guest for 2-day hunt.

Do you provide transportation to and from the airport?

Accepted Answer

Transportation to and from the airport can be arranged for a fee which will depend on which airport you fly into.  Del Rio International Airport is approximately 45 minutes away; San Antonio International Airport is approximately 1.5 hours away.

Do I need to bring my own weapon and ammo?

Unless arrangements have been made prior to your arrival, you will need to bring your own weapon and ammo.

Do you accomodate bow hunters?

Yes!  We are equipped to provide a quality hunt for both rifle and bow hunters.

May I bring an ATV, UTV, or Four Wheeler?"

No.  We will provide all ranch transportation during your stay.

Question 9

Are alcoholic beverages allowed on the ranch?

Accepted Answer

Yes.  Consumption of alcoholic beverages in moderation is allowed and we will provide limited alcoholic beverages.  You may bring your own alcohol as well.  Alcoholic beverages will not be allowed in stands or while hunting.

Do I need a license to hunt?

Accepted Answer

Unless you plan to hunt hogs only, you will need a valid Texas hunting license.  Non-residents who plan to hunt only exotics, javelinas, and/or hogs will need only the Non-Resident Special Hunting License or the Non-Resident 5-Day Special Hunting License.  Anyone hunting whitetail deer will need either a Resident or Non-Resident General Hunting License.  Texas hunting licenses can be purchased online here:

Can I upgrade my hunting package after arrival at the ranch?

You may upgrade your hunting package BEFORE a hunt only.  Hunters who harvest or attempt to harvest an animal not included in their purchased package will be charged for an additional hunting package.  For example, a hunter who purchases a hog/javelina hunt and then takes a shot at an Axis deer will be charged for both a hog/javelina hunt and an exotic hunt.  However, an upgrade can be made after arrival, but prior to a hunt

What happens if I shoot or shoot at an animal not in my package?

Accepted Answer

Hunters who harvest or attempt to harvest an animal not included in their purchased package will be charged for an additional hunting package.  Additonally, if an animal is harvested out of season, the hunter will be reported to the Game Warden.

Question 13

What if I shoot an animal out of season?

Accepted Answer

Any hunter who shoots or shoots at an animal out of season or who breaks any Texas hunting law will be reported to the Game Warden.

Can I keep the meat from the animals I harvest?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely.  If you do not want the meat, we can donate it for you.  No game meat will be wasted.
